WHAT IS AN ELECTRONIC PRESS KIT (EPK)?

An EPK is a digital format of the typical printed press kit that is submitted to A&R, radio stations, and DJ Pools. It generally contains a bio, photos, media, music, and rider information. It is a snapshot of the artist, and should be as professional as possible, full of factual information, and to the point.

HOW CAN HIPHOPEPK.COM HELP ME?

We can help you in many ways. We offer both listing services and design services. If you already have an existing EPK, we can list it on our site for a competitive one-time fee (your listing stays on our website for LIFE, and can be updated with your new material periodically). If you do not already have an EPK, one of our designers would be happy to design one for you.

IF I SUBMIT AN EPK, WHO WILL SEE IT?

Your EPK will be seen by whomever you submit your custom hiphopepk.com link to, as well as A&R, record labels, that frequent our website. Our parent company regularly networks with music & entertainment industry professionals, and DJ record pools, at various conferences, festivals, awards shows, community and promotional events, at which our website signage will be marketed. Some of these events include: SWSW, Southern Entertainment Awards, Texas Summer Music Conference, Ohip Hip Hop Awards, Urban Music Summit, All-Star Weekend, OG Ron C Conference, Greg Gates Conference, Listen and Exchange, Core DJ Retreat, TJ's DJ's Conference, Atlanta Record Pool events, and more.

DO YOU OFFER EPK SUBMISSION SERVICES?

At this time we are not offering submission services, however this is a service that we do plan to offer in early 2013 so stay tuned!

HOW MUCH ARE YOUR EPKs?

We have several EPK options available. Everyone's needs are different, and some EPKs must be custom tailored to whomever is requesting it. Our standard 5-pg PDF EPK is a one-time fee of $75.00. We also offer setup of digital press kits for other websites such as Reverbnation and Sonicbids, for a fee of $30.00 per site.

WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME FOR YOUR EPKs?

Average turnaround is 1 week, provided that you submit all necessary photos, url's, and bio at time of purchase.

DO YOU REQUIRE FULL PAYMENT UP FRONT?

Yes, all payments are required up front. In special cases, we may agree to 50% deposit up front, with remaining balance due after completion, but this is rare so don't count on it.

WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME?

Please allow up to 48 hrs for a response after submission. As we staff up during our pre-launch phase, the response time will become much faster.

WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE MY EPK? CAN I GET A REFUND?

Due to the digital nature of the service that we provide, we do not offer refunds. However, we ensure your satisfaction before closing any project. Our designers will work closely with you to determine the general layout and design you are seeking before designing it. As long as your change requests are within reason, we will honor it!

HOW LONG WILL MY EPK STAY ON THIS WEBSITE?

For Life!

WHAT IF I NEED TO UPDATE MY EPK WITH NEW BOOKING CONTACT INFORMATION AFTER IT IS COMPLETE?

We are happy to update the text in EPKs for a small fee of $5. If you need image modifications or a re-design, the fee will vary depending on what you need.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept all major credit cards. We use Paypal as our secure payment processor. You do not have to have a Paypal account in order to purchase if you are using a credit card. If you are paying by electronic check, your account must be verified by Paypal through your bank before we will accept payment.
